Lucia works with adult clients and places an emphasis on building a therapeutic alliance through empathy, collaboration and purposeful work. Lucia’s approach aims to go beyond management strategies to identify core issues, including unhelpful thinking and self-defeating behaviour patterns to facilitate long-term changes in well-being and functioning.

Lucia works primarily from an attachment-perspective and is undertaking specialist training in Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP), which is an evidence-based and emotion-focused therapeutic model. Other therapeutic modalities can be drawn upon including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Dialectal Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Lucia has worked with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds across multiple settings including private practice, high school, and private mental health hospitals.

Sessions are available in-person on Mondays or via telehealth.
