Ella Shinners is a Psychologist and Clinical Psychology Registrar.
Ella’s therapeutic approach is client-centred, curious, compassionate, and non-judgmental. Sessions are evidence-driven, collaborative and feedback-informed to help develop insight and strategies to better cope. Ella is a strong believer that the individual is the expert in their own life, aiming to build awareness, insight and understanding where needed.
Ella’s interest areas include women’s health concerns such as reproductive health, fertility difficulties, and Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder, as well as adjusting to changes with pregnancy and motherhood such as postnatal depression and anxiety, to loss.
Ella also works with adolescents and adults experiencing a range of challenges including but not limited to Anxiety, OCD, Panic, Phobias, Adjustment Difficulties, Depression, Bipolar, Dysthymia, Complex Trauma, PTSD, Grief and Loss, Transitional Changes, Interpersonal Difficulties, Motivational Difficulties, Occupational Challenges, and Emotional Dysregulation.
Ella draws from a broad range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities including CBT, ACT, DBT informed and Schema Informed Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Positive Psychology, Strengths-based, and Mindfulness-based approaches to meet individual therapeutic goals and build resiliency.
Ella is available to support clients on Mondays and Tuesdays at the Work Well.
