SHANNON BRAMWELL

Clinical Psychologist

Shannon Bramwell is a clinical psychologist with over 10 years of experience in providing warm and compassionate care to her clients.

Her goal is to build connected relationships with her clients so they feel able to safely work towards recovery.

As an ANZAED-credentialled eating disorder clinician, Shannon is highly knowledgeable in providing treatment for individuals with eating disorders (age 16+) in inpatient, outpatient and residential settings.

She is also experienced in providing treatment for individuals with anxiety, depression, borderline personality disorder, bipolar disorders, trauma and PTSD.

Shannon is passionate about working with clients who are experiencing long-term eating disorders and complex co-occuring conditions including trauma, BPD, neurodiversity, and/or medical complications.

She also enjoys helping clients with eating disorders through pregnancy, post-partum and navigating life with children.

Shannon’s approach to treatment is grounded in an understanding that each individual is unique – she celebrates all people, cultures, bodies, abilities, genders and sexualities.

Her practice is trauma-informed, neurodiversity-affirming and client-centred to ensure the best possible outcomes for her clients.

In order to achieve this, Shannon is trained in a range of therapeutic modalities including schema therapy, CBT, DBT, CBT-E (enhanced for eating disorders) and SSCM. She works with her clients to design a treatment plan to best suit their needs.

Shannon is also a STAP-Accredited supervisor and provides supervision to clinicians working with clients with eating disorders and other complex mental health conditions (specifically personality disorders or complex trauma).

In this capacity, Shannon is able to supervise the clinical registrar program and is passionate about supporting other clinicians in developing practices for self-care, burnout prevention and managing high-risk cases.
